“…He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God, many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord…” Psalm 40:3

The band began in the South Bay as a way for drummer Tim Vreeland to pass the time and express him-self through music. What began as a hobby for Tim steadily grew with the addition of longtime friend Mark Moore in 2001. After Chuck McGinnis joined the band in 2002, Crisis was born. After a year of playing the Los Angeles circuit, the boys decided to keep the band a three piece and changed the name to Aorist Tense. With Tim holding down the drums, Mark on the bass and Chuck on guitar and lead vocals the band was set and ready to make some noise.

The group’s name, Aorist Tense, is more than just another band name. Aorist Tense is a form of Greek tense, which translated means: from one point in time through all eternity. “We connect the name to Salvation,” says Vreeland, “if you accept Christ as your Lord and Savior you will have eternal life.” A surplus of drumbeats, flying solos, and soul driving bass fused with melodic lead vocals, beautifully orchestrated harmonies, and screaming backups define a musical assault that only Aorist Tense can create. With Christ at the core, this a band with their eyes set on something much higher than earthly fame. Driving behind meaning, direction, and a clear purpose, they are like no other and bring new a vision to the pre-conceived notions of Christian Rock.

In 2005, Aorist Tense earned enough money to set out and create their first demo recording. With Chuck McGinnis recording and engineering, the disc costs were effective and the result was “Smoke and Mirrors” a five track disc the boys were hoping would catch the ears of radio and industry professionals. The plan and the disc worked to perfection catching the ears of college radio and a new independent record label. In early 2006, the disc was released and Aorist Tense was offered their first label deal. Signed to Salvage Productions the band is now ready to take on the world.

The band is currently gearing up for their first full-length album, writing new material and playing shows as much as possible. The song “Too Late” from the “Smoke and Mirrors” demo is being released to radio and receiving a great response. “Too late was our second song written as a band,” says Vreeland. McGinnis says, “The song serves as a warning towards those who have not accepted Christ.” Moore adds “Too Late is definitely one of my favorite songs to play, it’s just punchy and right too the point.”

With many long-term goals in place, McGinnis says, “music is what I love, it never talks back or argues with you or tells you that you’re wrong. It is the best way for me to express my feelings and thoughts for God.” Vreeland says, “I’m excited and nervous about the future, but I also know God has a perfect plan for my life.” Moore states, “Playing music for a living while spreading and teaching the gospel is just the ultimate ministry for me.” Moore adds, “This is what I want to do, I thank God all the time for blessing me with this life and this band.”

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
Perhaps no better example of Romans 8:28 can be found than in the origination of Spirit of Grace... from diverse musical backgrounds of punk rock, classic 70's rock, country music, classical piano and even big band jazz, Spirit of Grace came together at one place in time... God truly works in mysterious ways.

Spirit of Grace (S.O.G.) is the house praise band for Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Royersford, Pennsylvania. Spirit of Grace provides music for the contemporary service at 10:45 am every Sunday including Praise Hymns and Special Music.

Hello,
My name is Craig Raymond and I have been playing instruments for years, searching for the proper band. I enjoy playing rock guitar, especially progressive rock, but would love to join a christian band. I have recently finished my first 9 song demo CD which I will release on the internet in the near future; I'm thinking about 2 months. I have some older music I recorded learning my gear, and have also been recording bands to keep my home and studio a-float, but ultimately I'd like to see more christian artist being supported by more christian industry so christian artist don't give up and turn to the secular world for support, exposure, financial backing, and endorcment.

My name is Jeremiah Buckner and I just released an album called "Touched by The Father" it really is the gospel message in musical form like I feel it should've been. In a world thats so filled with self centeredness and greed, we ,as artist, have to be sure that the message of The cross is not lost. Being that music is such an influence on people in this age, why not keep our lyrics focused on Jesus and let our music reveal the truth of Jesus Christ.

3 Days Journey (www.3daysjourney.net) --- With decades of musical experience behind each member, Brodie Hutchins, Patrick Wolfkill, Craig Gephart and Randy Davis (a.k.a. 3 Days Journey) are not just another new Christian band cutting its teeth in the world of contemporary Christian music. And, even though the guys have taken their talents abroad and even worked with well-known artists in Christian and secular music circles, they still consider themselves ordinary guys who enjoy making great music together and sharing the songs in their hearts with others. They are committed to being authentic, approachable and relevant; sharing a message and music that strikes a chord in the heart of the listener while providing a positive, encouraging message.
