THIS IS THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE!/LET THERE BE LIGHT

NKJ Genesis 1:15 "and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth"; and it was so.

God gives us physical light so we can see.

NKJ Genesis 1:3 Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.

NKJ Genesis 1:17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth,

NKJ Exodus 10:23 They did not see one another; nor did anyone rise from his place for three days. But all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

God also gives us spiritual light to His people.

NKJ Judges 5:31 "Thus let all Your enemies perish, O LORD! But let those who love Him be like the sun When it comes out in full strength." So the land had rest for forty years.

NKJ Isaiah 60:3 The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.

NKJ Matthew 5:14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

NKJ Acts 13:47 "For so the Lord has commanded us: 'I have set you as a light to the Gentiles, That you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.' "

NKJ Ephesians 5:8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light

NKJ Philippians 2:15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

Jesus Christ is the Light of the World. We need to follow Him.

NKJ Isaiah 9:2 The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined.

NKJ John 1:4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

NKJ John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."

NKJ John 12:35 Then Jesus said to them, "A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going.

NKJ 2 Corinthians 4:6 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

NKJ Ephesians 5:14 Therefore He says: "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light."

NKJ Revelation 21:23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.

God is the light.

NKJ Psalm 27:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

NKJ Psalm 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.

NKJ Isaiah 60:20 Your sun shall no longer go down, Nor shall your moon withdraw itself; For the LORD will be your everlasting light, And the days of your mourning shall be ended.

NKJ Micah 7:8 Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The LORD will be a light to me.

NKJ 1 John 1:5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

NKJ Revelation 22:5 There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.


Is God your light? Are you following Jesus? If you are not, you need to turn and come into the light while the light is there. Once your time is up, there is no turning back.

NKJ Ezekiel 18:32 "For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies," says the Lord GOD. "Therefore turn and live!"

NKJ Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,

NKJ Hebrews 9:28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

PRAYER

FATHER GOD, I PRAY THAT WE MAY CONTINUE TO WALK IN YOUR LIGHT SO WE MAY SHOW OTHERS THE LIGHT WHO IS JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.
